Players have fun with risky maneuvers by the Roman police. Video has already been viewed more than 2 million times
Forget about escorts on imposing motorbikes, several police cars and a special mobilization to welcome an international team. In Italy, just two police officers in a car are enough to escort a bus and clear its way through the chaotic traffic of the capital.
The unusual event took place this Sunday (24), in Rome. The escort of the Irish Rugby Team bus, which would later play the match against the Italian team, delighted the coaching staff and players of the visiting team.
The video taken by a member of the Irish team shows the escort a little confused – but efficient – while the players have fun watching the police car maneuver.
But the Irish's joy was seen as an insult by many Italians. “These players don’t know the scarcity of our resources. This patrol did the work of a team of five,” said one internet user. “They always try to do their work with the utmost commitment,” said another.
In just over 10 hours after publication, the video has already been viewed more than 2 million times.
