the recordings of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” stopped traffic on the Regina state road (SS 340) in Como, northern Italy, last Wednesday (22). The production of the long-awaited film, starring Meryl Streep e Anne Hathaway, used the location for action scenes with Lake Como as the backdrop.
Filming took place primarily between Brienno and Argegno, an area near Villa Oleandra, and required temporary road closures. The closures were implemented at short intervals to minimize disruption to drivers who use the road daily. Local police and highway patrol officers monitored the operations and controlled traffic flow.
Although many locals and onlookers attempted to observe the filming, the main cast members did not participate in the scenes shot in Como. Only a black van with tinted windows was seen in action, raising suspicions about the nature of the filming.

Filming in several Italian cities
"The Devil Wears Prada 2" is scheduled for a worldwide release in April 2026. The film is currently being shot in several Italian locations. In Milan, the main cast filmed for several weeks in restricted-access areas, including the Brera neighborhood. Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace were also spotted on set, although their roles have not yet been officially announced.

Before arriving in Como, the crew passed through Tremezzina, where they used Villa del Balbiano on the shores of Lake Como—a location already known for hosting part of the filming of "House of Gucci." The scenes filmed in these landscapes are expected to be one of the most memorable parts of the new production.
