Italian company was selected by consultancy Brand Finance among the 500 most valuable
Brand Finance, a consultancy that evaluates the most significant brands on the market, declared Ferrari as the “strongest and most influential” in the world, with 94,8 points in an index that goes up to 100.
The organization's annual report was published on Tuesday (22), on the occasion of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Brand Finance explained that among the reasons for Ferrari's success is the fact that the 2018 production had been completely sold in May, as well as a part of this year's quota. In addition, the automaker announced investments in new cars and hybrid vehicles.
The Italian brand had already won the title five years ago and was once again the most influential at an international level, selected among the 500 most valuable, even though it did not achieve the expected results in Formula 1. Ferrari is recognized throughout the world and famous for being the first producer of luxury cars on an international level.
The growing strength of the brand was responsible for a 27% increase in its market value, which reached US$8,3 billion. “As the world's leading producer of luxury cars, Ferrari has an undisputed level of recognition for design and innovation,” commented David Haigh, CEO of Brand Finance.
