The Forbes billionaires ranking reveals that Giovanni Ferrero is no longer the richest man in Italy.

No ranking of Italian billionaires, John Ferrero was excluded from the list of richest in Italy, and not because your assets have decreased, but because of a residence issue. 

With assets equivalent to 35,1 billion dollars, the businessman who makes Nutella and Kinder, for example, continues to hold the title of richest Italian, but after moving to Belgium, he now holds the title of richest from Belgium, occupying seventh place in the ranking of European billionaires.

Numerous Italians appear on the annual list of the richest in the world, some of them unprecedented, confirming the tendency for capital to increase among the richest, even during a pandemic.  

First place among the richest in Italy is taken by Leonardo DelVecchio, founder of Luxottica, an Italian company that manufactures, distributes and retailers glasses, with a fortune of around 25,8 billion dollars.

Second place on the podium is taken by a woman: Maximilian Landini, thanks to the revenue from pharmaceutical Menarini

Third place for Giorgio Armani, the king of Italian style. 

The politician and businessman Silvio Berlusconi occupies fourth place.

Giuseppe De'Longhi, from De'Longhi, the home appliance manufacturer, took fifth place.

According to estimates released by Forbes, there are 628 billionaires in Europe, and together they managed to reach three trillion dollars in capital, a truly incredible number. 

But who is the richest person in Europe? Firstly is Bernard Arnault, French tycoon luxury goods which also reaches the third place among the richest in the world.

Secondly, we find Amacio Ortegafounder of Zara and well-known investor in the fast fashion.

The third position is occupied by Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, heiress of L'Oréal. 

Among the new names inserted in the ranking, we find that of the founder of the airline EasyJet, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, and Mathias Dopefner, founder of Checkout, an electronic payment technology company.
