Madonna turns 60 on August 16th.
The celebrations and tributes for Madonna's 60th birthday have already begun. The queen of pop was already the subject of a special in The Guardian newspaper and, this time, she was celebrated by Vogue magazine.
Madonna became the cover of the Italian edition of the publication in August. The title suggests that the magazine followed behind the scenes of the star's life, with the title “Just a day in the life”, in free translation.
And Madonna will not only get one, but two cover versions of Vogue Italia. The publication revealed the images on Monday (30), with the caption “We celebrate a legend”.
In addition to the interview with the queen of pop, the publication will show several photos of the singer. The images were taken in Portugal, where Madonna has lived since last year, by the photography duo Mert & Marcus.
For Emanuele Farneti, editor-in-chief of the publication, the new focus was more interesting than a retrospective. “She proposed the Lisbon angle and it ended up becoming a very personal interview.”
