The higher education offered by the Italian university system is the seventh best in the world and the second most popular in the European Union, according to the 14th edition of the Qs World University Rankings released last Wednesday (10).
According to the ranking, at a global level, Italy was behind only the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Germany, Australia and Canada.
La Sapienza University of Roma was confirmed, for the fourth consecutive year, as the best in classical studies and ancient history, with a score of 99,5 – higher than last year -, for the best performance in the subjects.
The ranking analyzes 55 subjects grouped into five major thematic areas, taking into account – among other things – academic reputation.
The university located in the capital of Italy is the most represented in the ranking with 47 subjects (last year there were 43), distributed across the five areas, for a total of 52 scores acquired.
Furthermore, the medicine department at the University of Milan is also among the Italian centers of excellence. (HANDLE).
