Democratic Party deputy Fabio Porta stated this Tuesday, the 10th, that the Prenot@mi online scheduling system It has become "a nightmare" for Italians living abroad.

According to him, the current model generates delays, frustrations, and suspicions of manipulation, compromising citizens' trust in Italian consular institutions. Porta announced a parliamentary questioning of the Foreign Minister, requesting immediate intervention.

"It is no longer possible to manage a community of over six million citizens with an inefficient and inadequate system," the parliamentarian declared.

Porta also highlighted that Prenot@mi can be easily manipulated even by simple tools, such as low-cost automated robots, which puts people trying to schedule an appointment through conventional means at a disadvantage.

The most frequent complaints come from Latin America. from United States and from Europe, where the Italian community faces constant obstacles in accessing consular services.

The congressman argues that the government should immediately invest in more resources, hiring staff, and developing a modern, transparent, and secure platform.

For Fabio Porta, guaranteeing efficient and dignified services to Italian citizens abroad is also a matter of international credibility for the country.
