EU has already secured 2,6 billion doses of the covid vaccine

The European Commission announced this Wednesday the purchase of 150 million new doses of the Moderna vaccine against Covid-19 this year.

The contract also provides for the possibility of purchasing an additional 150 million doses in 2022, if necessary. “With a portfolio of up to 2,6 billion doses, we will be able to provide vaccines not only to our citizens, but also to our neighbors and partners,” said commission president Ursula von der Leyen, according to a statement.
