Luxury tourism in Italy has shown evolution in recent years, reinforcing the sector's potential for class A travelers.

Last year alone, the segment generated more than 9 billion euros (R$56,8 billion) in direct expenses, registering 12,8 million overnight stays and 4,5 million arrivals.

Data from the Demoskopika institute also reveals the growth of luxury tourism in the Belpaese between 2008 and 2024 (excluding the years of the Covid-19 pandemic), with an average expansion of 9,2% in overnight stays in five-star hotels, compared to 5,2% for the hotel network as a whole.

For this year, the institution's estimate remains optimistic: luxury tourism in Italy should receive approximately 4,6 million travelers and register just over 12,9 million overnight stays, with increases of 2% and 1,4%, respectively, compared to 2024. (HANDLE)
