The renowned seaside resort in the province of Vibo Valentia, one of the most beautiful destinations in Calabria, Tropea achieved the highest step on the podium in the special classification of the eighth edition of the program broadcast by Rai 3, which featured 20 splendid villages from beautiful Italy.
Known for its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and its caves that are part of the famous Coast of the Gods (Coast of the Gods), Tropea is a city that combines its countless natural beauties with the care and appreciation of its immense cultural heritage, so much so that it was nicknamed “the little Athens of Calabria".
The small and charming old town offers stunning views, such as the splendid view of the coast, but also precious architectural testimonies, including the magnificent noble palaces from the 18th and 19th centuries, perched on a steep cliff, with the enchanting beach below.

O unmistakable symbol of Tropea is the large rock on which rises the Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell'Isola, a place of unique beauty at the center of captivating stories and legends.
To reach it and admire all its mystical charm, you need to climb a staircase carved into the rock. Once at the top, you are faced with a spectacle that leaves you breathless.
The lush garden that surrounds the sanctuary offers, in fact, a view that runs along the entire coast and reaches as far as the Aeolian Islands and the Sicilian coast, with Stromboli, Vulcano and Mount Etna standing out on the horizon.
The name of the splendid Calabrian village is linked to the famous Tropea red onion, gastronomic symbol of this wonderful territory.
