Basketball legend wore Air Jordan in a single game in Italy: in Trieste, in 1985
A pair of Air Jordan sneakers worn by Michael Jordan in Trieste, in northern Italy, is for sale at the traditional auction house Christie's.
The bidder must pay more than 850 thousand dollars, an amount equivalent to approximately R$4.447.000 (as of 27/07/2020).
However, experts guarantee that the value should exceed the million dollar mark. Five months ago, Sotheby's sold a pair of 1 Air Jordan 1985s for $560. The auction started at 150 thousand dollars.
In the exhibition match in Italy, wearing the Stefanel in a friendly against Juventus Caserta, the young shooting guard, who would become the greatest basketball player of all time, scored 41 points on a tour organized by Nike.
But the unforgettable image is different: at the end of the match, the star made a phenomenal jump completed by a “Tomahawk Dunk", which broke the score.
