Storm of Hail and floods in the late afternoon of this Tuesday, June 02nd – the “Republic Day” –, in Lombardy Region. The municipalities in the province of Bergamo were those most affected by the storm.
According to news sites, hail fell so thick it looked like snow.
No injuries or accidents were reported, but dozens of fire department calls were recorded, especially between Alzano Lombardo and Nembro, for damage caused by bad weather.
Discomfort also in roads: some highways and intercity roads were closed.
In Nembro, there was 30 centimeters of hail and there was a landslide between Peia and Gandino.
Hundreds of trees were felled by the storm.
