The official agenda includes symbolic visits.
In Belém, the city that will host the highly anticipated UN climate conference, the Foreign Minister will visit the "AquaPraça" floating platform, an innovative urban project created by the Carlo Ratti Associati office.
He will also pass by the Basilica of Our Lady of Nazareth, built in the early 20th century according to a design by the Italian architect Gino Coppedè.
The agenda also includes visits to the Fazenda da Esperança therapeutic community and the Hospital da Divina Providência, both in Marituba, on the outskirts of Belém, where Italian missionaries work.
Distancing from the Italian-Brazilian community
Since March of this year, when it launched the Decree-Law No. 36/2025 which promoted a radical change in the rules for the recognition of Italian citizenshipAntonio Tajani became disliked by a large part of the Italian-Brazilian community.
In Belém, however, the chancellor will be protected from any potential protests.
