The Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp) will host a forum on October 9th to discuss economic and business relations between Brazil and Italy.
The initiative, which will take place from 9 am to 18 pm (Brasília time), will take place on the occasion of the visit to São Paulo by Italy's Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani.
The Economic-Business Forum will also aim to identify ways of collaboration in five important industrial segments.
The meeting will begin with a plenary session opened by the president of Fiesp, Josué Gomes da Silva, accompanied by Tajani, the vice president of Brazil, Geraldo Alckmin, and the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas.
In addition to them, other personalities will participate, such as the president of ICE, the Italian government's export promotion agency, Matteo Zoppas; Jorge Viana, president of APEX Brasil; Alessandra Ricci, Chief Executive Officer of SACE.
Maíra Madrid Barbosa da Silva, president of the Brazilian Association of Guarantee and Guarantee Fund Managers (ABGF); Regina Corradini D'Arienzo, CEO of SIMEST; Barbara Cimmino, vice president for Exports and Investment Attraction of the Italian Confederation of Industries (Confindustria) will also be present, as well as government representatives, directors and presidents of important Italian and Brazilian business groups.
The forum will feature sectoral tables dedicated to industrial segments, where business leaders from both countries will discuss business opportunities. These include: Agribusiness; infrastructure, energy and biofuels; metalworking, food processing, packaging technologies, textiles, civil construction and ceramics production; mining and steelmaking; and water treatment.
The event is organized, under the guidance of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by the Italian Consulate General in São Paulo, the ICE Agency office in São Paulo, which is also the Department for the Promotion of Exchanges of the Italian Embassy; the SACE office in São Paulo; and the Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce of São Paulo (Italcam).HANDLE)
