Next Sunday, December 15th, the Circolo Italiano of São Paulo will hold the CircoloAuto 2024, a special event that combines a passion for classic cars with a tribute to the 150 years of Italian immigration to Brazil.
An exhibition of Italian icons
Starting at 11am, at Italian Institute of Culture, the exhibition will feature over 50 classic Italian cars, including iconic models from brands such as Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati.
Among the highlights is the Alfa Romeo Carabinieri, the official vehicle of the Italian police, which received a customization “Brazilian style”, and the legendary Spider 2000 Veloce, from 1974, known for his appearance in films starring Dustin Hoffman.
Tributes and history
After the exhibition, the cars will follow in convoy to the Circolo Italiano (in the Itália Building), on Ipiranga Avenue.
At the site, the Consul General of Italy in São Paulo, Domenico Fornara, and the president of Circolo Italiano, Jose Lorenzo Messina, will unveil a plaque in honor of the visit of Italian President Sergio Mattarella, which took place in July of this year.
The event will also celebrate the Alfa Romeo Club of Brazil, with a special plaque given to the club president, Marco Pigossi.
Closing with culture and gastronomy
The closing of CircoloAuto 2024 will be marked by a typical Italian lunch and a talk with the journalist Ernesto Paglia about Carde – Art Design Museum, located in Campos do Jordão.
