The Brazilian National Team's logistics for the 2022 World Cup officially begins this Saturday (12), when the technical committee travels to Turin, Italy.
According to CNN Brasil, among the people embarking this weekend are coach Tite and the athletes called up who play in Brazilian football, such as goalkeeper Weverton, from Palmeiras, midfielder Everton Ribeiro and striker Pedro, both from Flamengo. The remaining athletes will present themselves at the beginning of next week.
The coaching staff is taking more than 5,5 tons of luggage from Brazil, which will be transported on a plane chartered by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). In practice, this amounts to 300 volumes of material, ranging from clothing and medicine for the athletes to electronic equipment that will be used by the staff.
The clothing sector is responsible for the largest number of volumes that will be transported to Qatar, where the world cup will take place from November 20th.
According to the CBF, almost a thousand shirts will be taken to the 2022 World Cup, 700 yellow and 230 blue. Each athlete will receive three uniform kits: one for training, one for concentration and one for games – where each athlete uses two shirts, one for each half.
In addition to the uniforms, the Brazilian delegation will also bring food. Only cassava flour, those responsible for the athletes' meals will carry 30kg, according to the CNN Brazil.
The technical committee will also carry 92 medications in its luggage, as well as ultrasound and laser devices for physiotherapy, a hyperbaric chamber, stretchers, massage machines, two thousand boot cleats, among other items.
After landing in Turin, Italy, the Brazilian team trains for six days at Juventus training center.
Soon after, on November 19th, the players and delegation embark for Qatar, where they will make the final adjustments for their debut in the competition, which takes place on November 24th against Serbia.
