This week, the Mayor Gustavo Martinelli received Juan Espeche, director of Indiana Mystery Creations Themes — a company specialized in the creation of theme parks and entertainment.

The meeting aimed to present the proposal for implementing a tourist complex inspired by the rich Italian heritage.

The park will include several facilities, such as restaurants, shops, parking and different themed attractions. Among the novelties, a cinema in the shape of a ship that refers to the history of Italian immigration, detailed replicas of famous monuments — such as the Colosseum and the Leaning Tower of Pisa — and a space dedicated to the narrative of Italian immigration in the region.

According to the businessman, the venture already has the support of investors. The interest in Jundiaí, in the interior of São Paulo, is due, in part, to the city's infrastructure and its social, demographic and cultural profile, factors that can boost the city in the national and international tourism scene.

Espeche also highlighted that the parks already designed by his company have received more than 23 million visitors, and the new project is expected to increase these numbers even further.

Mayor Martinelli defined the next steps to make the initiative viable. “We received a proposal from someone with extensive experience in the largest theme parks in the country, which aligns perfectly with the history of Jundiaí and its region,” he said.

The city is known for its major events, such as the Grape Festival and the Wine Expo.
