history and tradition
“We want to repeat the success of last year's party when thousands of people, including families from the region and tourists, came to honor our history and tradition”, says the regional administrator of Santa Felicidade, Simone Chagas Lima.
The invitation for this year, highlights Simone, is for three more days of celebration between local residents and visitors. “It’s a beautiful old-fashioned family reunion, with games, presentations, cooking and a lot of reverence for the men and women who worked to build Santa Felicidade”, reinforces the administrator.
Fried lambari
The chicken and polenta duo, traditional in the gastronomy of the Italian neighborhood, will be present, but there will also be other delicacies prepared following the recipes of the nonas and nonas: fried lambari, bread with steak, cheeses, salami and wines produced in the region. For those who prefer sweets, the options will also be plentiful with cucas, Italian casseroles, pies and sweets prepared to order.
The entertainment will be provided by choirs and folk groups who will take turns on stage so as not to leave anyone standing still.
