The meteorological department of Roma, in Italy, revealed this week that February in the capital was the hottest in 157 years.

The February numbers are a preview of what lies ahead: Italy is expected to have a summer with African heat.
“We are moving towards a summer that will be remembered for its high temperatures, but also because it will mark the Italian peninsula with episodes of intense storms, with violent and destructive phenomena”, published IlMeteo, an Italian meteorology institute, on its portal.
The blame is on El Nino, the evil “little boy” that returns, bringing major climate changes in the Mediterranean and especially in Italian territory.
For meteorologists, Italy will have the worst temperatures from the second week of July until the second week of August. Temperatures are expected to reach 43° in the South region, while the North region is expected to suffer from heat waves between 38° and 39°.
