The meeting was attended by the consul general Domenico Fornara and heads of the departments of Anagrafe, Citizenship and Passports, and the deputy Fabio Porta.
On the agenda were recent changes to the law on Italian citizenship and the presentation of the overview of the activities of the Passports and Civil Registry (Anagrafe) sectors in the second half of this year.
Community demands
Despite the institutional tone, user comments on the consulate's social media channels highlight dissatisfaction with the difficulty of accessing basic services. Criticism focuses primarily on the system. appointment for the first passport.

Questions were also raised about the criteria used to cancel appointments in cases where the AIRE (Registration of Residents Abroad) status is listed as "forwarded to the municipality of jurisdiction." According to the consulate's website, this status would allow for normal scheduling.

Expectations for improvements
Among the messages, there are calls for the topics discussed in the meeting with employers to result in concrete actions, with the expansion of services and review of procedures for issuing the first passport and processing of citizenship processes.
"I hope you can help us so that we, as Italians, can have the necessary documents for our Italian civil life," wrote one citizen, asking for faster services and more attention to the reality of Italians living in Brazil.
