Milan is the most expensive city in Italy. This was revealed by the latest data on the cost of living prepared by Codacons, the Italian consumer association.
From breakfast at the bar to shopping at the grocery store, from the dentist's bill to the haircut at the hairdresser, it takes very little to see this in person: goods and services in the Milanese city are more expensive than in other places.
When compared the prices and tariffs in the main metropolitan regions of the city, one thing remains certain: if you really want to save money, you have to move to the South.
Nápoles is, of course, the cheapest city in terms of food expenditure, while Pescara is the most convenient in terms of service charges.
To have a perfect smile, on the other hand, you can count on dentists in Palermo, the cheapest on the peninsula, according to the channel's article TGCOM24, this Sunday (23).

In Milan, you need to spend on average 47% more to eat than in Naples. To purchase food such as fruit and vegetables, meat, fish and bread in Milan, an average of €99,24 is spent, compared to €67,58 in Naples.
Garbage tax
O trophy for most expensive city in Italy, however, passes to the Neapolitan city when it comes to garbage collection costs. In Naples you pay the highest waste fee in Italy, which is 507,96 euros. 148% more than in Trento, where you pay just 205 euros for Tari.
