The first two works in the exhibition “G7: Seven Centuries of Italian Art”, arrived last Wednesday (4) at Mesagne Castle, in Puglia, where the exhibition will open on June 13th.
The paintings were in Pisa and Rome.
They are: “The Miracle of the Hanged Men”, by Raphael, from the National Museum of the Royal Palace, in Pisa; and “Black White 1955”, by Alberto Burri, from the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, in Rome.
The exhibition, a G7 side event to be held in Borgo Egnazia from 13 to 15 June, will close on 30 November.
The event is organized by Puglia Walking Art and the business network Puglia Micexperience, with the sponsorship of the Region of Puglia and the Municipality of Mesagne, the Chamber of Commerce of Taranto-Brindisi and Aeroporti di Puglia.
Under the scientific guidance of Professor Pierluigi Carofano, the exhibition will offer visitors a journey through the history of Italian art, from medieval art to contemporary artistic expressions that emerged in Italy from the 14th to the 20th century.
In total, 51 works will be exhibited. (HANDLE)
