A Brazilian man was arrested in Rome after tests revealed he had ingested 48 capsules of cocaine. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 30th, at Fiumicino Airport, the main gateway to the Italian capital.

The passenger, whose identity was not revealed, caught the attention of border police for appearing nervous and avoiding eye contact during disembarkation.

Authorities found no illegal substances among his belongings, but decided to send him to a hospital for examination.

An X-ray revealed the presence of the drug inside his body. In the following hours, the Brazilian expelled all 48 capsules.
