A Federal Police plane went to Bolivia to bring the Italian back to Brazil.
Italian Cesare Battisti is expected to be flown from Bolivia directly to Italy. He is expected to be handed over to Italian authorities at Viru Viru international airport in Santa Cruz de La Sierra, where Battisti was arrested by Bolivian police on Saturday (12).
Battisti should not be brought to Brazil as previously announced by the Minister of the Institutional Security Cabinet, Augusto Heleno.
Shortly after Augusto Heleno's statement, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte published on a social network that Battisti would be taken directly to the European country.
According to the Italian press, a flight from Italy arrives in Bolivia at 21 pm (Bolivian local time), departs from there at 22 pm (local time) directly to Ciampino airport in Rome, with an expected arrival at 14 pm this Monday (local time).
The Supreme Court reaffirmed: citizenship is born with the person.

Battisti will be handed over to the Italian authorities because he entered Bolivia illegally and will therefore be expelled from the country.
Battisti's defense wanted Marco Aurélio's HC
Igor Tamasauskas, lawyer for terrorist Cesare Battisti, stated this Sunday that he filed a preventive habeas corpus request with the STF to avoid the extradition of his client, reports Estadão.
In the note, the lawyer says that the request should be analyzed by Minister Marco Aurélio Mello.
“In light of the news that Cesare Battisti will return to Brazil, the Defense lawyers filed a preventive Habeas Corpus, against the act of Minister Luiz Fux, aiming to prevent Battisti from being extradited to Italy. With the fact that ministers Dias Toffoli and Luiz Fux are impeded, the defense understands that the case should be resolved by the most senior minister, Marco Aurélio Mello, since Dean Celso de Mello declared himself impeded.”
Italy did well to take precautions.
