To celebrate the conquest of San Remo in 1968, the singer will release a CD in Italian
Away from the studios for 15 years, singer Roberto Carlos promises a new album in 2019, but especially for the Italian community.
If it comes to fruition, this album with only Italian songs – and with Italian versions of Roberto's songs – will represent an attempt to regain a market to which the singer paid special attention in the 1960s and 1970s.
Roberto Carlos' discography counts 65 recordings in Italian, spread across albums, compilations and collective projects. It is worth remembering that, 50 years ago, Roberto was the big winner of the Sanremo Festival when defending the composition Song for you (Sergio Endrigo and Sergio Bardotti, 1968).
The Supreme Court reaffirmed: citizenship is born with the person.
- New legal front opened
- Processes can still be filed.
- Individual assessment before any decision.
The artist's connection with the Italian market began there in 1968 – a connection that made the singer return four years later, in 1972, to the same festival to give voice to the Italian song. A cat in blue (Totò Savio and Giancarlo Bigazzi, 1972).
Throughout the 1970s, Roberto released in Italy Italian versions of songs that he had released on albums recorded and edited in Brazil. So much so that, in 2010, the compilation I meowed successively with the gathering of some of these recordings in Italian.
In 2012, the singer released a live recording of a show in Brazil with a multilingual script, Roberto Carlos in Jerusalem, in which he sang the song in Italian Caruso (Lucio Dalla, 1986), the Ave Maria (Franz Schubert, 1825) and excerpt from Details (Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos, 1971).
