This year, panettone will also be the protagonist on the Italian table during the Ferragosto holiday, which celebrates the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The Christmas sweet will be highlighted this Wednesday (15) in different forms, whether with Sicilian citrus fruits, with ginger or adorned with ice cream and granitas. And in Milan, the target of so many Brazilian tourists, this delicacy could not be missing. The city council will promote a Ferragosto festival in Praça do Cannone, which will feature natural fermentation panettone made by Sicilian pasticcere master Nicola Fiasconaro.
Castelbuono's company, Fiasconaro, also announced, in a statement, that it had unbaked a shipment of small sweets and delicious panettone, and delivered it to the Social Policy, Health and Rights Advisory, so that they can be distributed mainly to those most in need.
Thus, Ferragosto, celebrated this Wednesday, will introduce the new fragrance of the new panettone with Sicilian citrus fruits, originally designed for next Christmas.
Panettone will also be a protagonist in Positano, a tourist pearl. This time, in the proposals of pasticerre chef Pietro Macellatro, for the “Stelle e dolcezze” events, held at the Le Agavi hotel. Macellaro proposes three fermentations, with lemon from the Amalfi Coast and wild oregano from Monte Cervati. And to celebrate Ferragosto with a toast, Giampietro Comoli, from the Center for Academic Research Studies and Economic Observatory, advises: “panettone goes well with a brut, but is better with dry aromatics”.
