What are the most searched for Italian wines on the web

The site processes, every day, more than a million searches, relating to almost 400 thousand labels, thus photographing new market trends in the area of wines

In the December 2021 ranking – dominated by France, with 69 labels – there are 9 Italian wines present among the most searched bottles on the web.

Scrolling from top to bottom the ranking of the most searched wines on the web, the first Italian is the Sassicaia by Tenuta San Guido, the only local spot in the Top 10.

It is in position 6 (behind Pétrus, Château Mouton Rothschild, Dom Pérignon, Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Margaux), while in June it was at number 8.

The second most searched Italian wine on the web is Tignanello dei Marchesi Antinori, in 14th (gained 3 positions compared to June). Masseto completes the local podium, which we find in position 30 (it was 40 in June).

Ornellaia fell from 32nd position to number 39, three places ahead of Attic of the Marquises Antinori (stable at position 42). THE Monfortino by Giacomo Conterno rises strongly, moving from position 79 to 49th. In 52nd place is Flaccianello of the Pieve di Fontodi.

The last two Italian wines that managed to gain a place in the “Top 100 Most Wanted Wines” ranking are The Pergole Torte di Montevertine (position 82) and the  Barolo by Bartolo Mascarello (position 96).
