2024 Holiday Calendar

The year of 2024 is leap year, with 366 days instead of the usual 365. This means that February will have 29 days instead of 28.

Here is a summary of national holidays and public holidays (or “bridge”, as the Italians say) for the year 2024 in Italy:

Although 2024 will have fewer strategic “holidays” than the previous year, there are ideal opportunities for spring getaways. The year begins with the holiday of Epiphany, which unfortunately falls on a Saturday.

Unlike last year, there will not be an extended break to extend the Christmas and New Year holidays into the new year.

After the Easter holiday, which falls on March 31st, attention turns to the most interesting period for combining holidays and days off: April 25th falls on a Thursday, and May 1st, 2024 is a Wednesday. If you live in Italy and have the opportunity to take 3 days off, you can enjoy 7 days off.

And with 5 days off (including May 2nd and 3rd), you can travel until May 5th, for a total of 11 days off.
