On repatriation flight, passenger passes through 5 airports in 4 countries and reports fear of contagion
It's Friday, May 1st. A group of Italians boarded a Gol flight from Rio de Janeiro to Guarulhos International Airport, bound for Rome. The flight of fear began there.
Hundreds of passengers attended the call from the Italian Embassy to leave Brazil after the rampant spread of the Covid-19 virus, on a repatriation flight. Many of them had their flights canceled three or four times.

The story was narrated by one of the passengers and recorded on video (watch below). “The situation on board is as follows: a completely full flight, with no distance between people. As you can see, everyone is wearing masks”, says the passenger while traveling the Rio-São Paulo section.
The most restrictive control – according to the passenger's testimony – was found only upon arrival in Italian territory. In other countries or airports (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Amsterdam and Paris), security measures were described as weak.
Still in Brazil, everything was functioning normally: stores and restaurants were open, and there was a normal movement of people.
The trip, which should have lasted just over 15 hours, with the connection, lasted 36 hours and passed through 5 airports in 4 countries, on two continents, and in the middle of a pandemic.
