2022 promises to be a year with many “ponti”, long holidays, in Italy to enjoy a few days off and disconnect from the daily routine.

By carefully choosing the calendar combinations, throughout 2022 it will be possible to enjoy 45 days of absolute relaxation, more than what happened in 2021.
Holidays: the 2022 calendar
If the new year 2022 fell on a Saturday and effectively precluded the possibility of taking a few more days off, Epiphany offers the opportunity to make up for it with interest.
In fact, January 6th is a Thursday: this means that the long weekend of Epiphany, from Thursday to Sunday, lasts four days.
O Carnival, with their documents tradicionais and their masks, is celebrated as usual on Tuesdays: this year it falls on March 1st.
Forty days later, it comes to Easter Holiday and the Monday of Easter Holiday, with the usual three-day long weekend: Saturday 16th to Monday 17th April.
Mini bridge also for the Liberation Day, April 25, scheduled for Monday.
No bridge, however, to Labor Day: this year, May 1st falls on a Sunday.
A month later, another “maxi pointi” lasting four days on the occasion of the Republic Day, which falls on Thursday, June 2.
O Ferragosto falls on Monday, August 15, 2022: another opportunity for a three-day long weekend.
Between November and December, there is no shortage of opportunities to disconnect from work.
the party of all saints will be on a Tuesday, November 1st, while the Immaculate Conception is scheduled for Thursday, December 8: in both cases, there are two four-day weekends. Christmas, however, falls on a Sunday.
