On November 29th and 30th, the municipality of Nova Bassano, in Serra Gaúcha, will host a major event that celebrates the rich tradition of Talian culture.
The program includes the 28th National Meeting of Talian Diffusers and the Talian Olympics, bringing together cultural events, lectures, typical games and an exciting procession of lamps.
The event will take place in the pavilions of the Municipal Events Center and promises to attract those passionate about this cultural heritage.
28th National Meeting of Talian Diffusers
The meeting brings together radio broadcasters, writers, artists and researchers dedicated to preserving the Talian language and culture, recognized as cultural heritage by MinC/IPHAN.
The program begins on Friday (29/11), at 17:30 pm, with a reception, mass in Talian and book launch.
On Saturday (30/11), starting at 8 am, a series of lectures will address topics such as the importance of associations, the grammar of Talian language and experiences of cultural dissemination. The event will also be a space for the exchange of experiences between radio broadcasters and cultural presentations.
Talian Olympics: rescuing traditions
On Saturday afternoon, the Talian Olympics promises moments of fun and cultural appreciation. The competitions include traditional games such as Bisca, Mora, Quatrilho and cart races. Course participants Cucagna School of Talian will also be present, demonstrating their language learning.
The public will be able to enjoy cultural presentations, purchase typical crafts and taste delicacies such as strùnfuli, traditional sweet of New Bassano.

Lamp procession and cultural celebration
Saturday night will be marked by an exciting moment: the lamp procession, followed by the lamp dinner. The group Mountain Boys The event will conclude with music in Talian, in a special show that will culminate in a dance.
During the celebration, the Talian Merit Award, in recognition of the efforts to disseminate this cultural heritage.
Cucagna Scola de Talian: safeguarding the language
The project Cucagna School of Talian is a pillar in the preservation of the language. With free online and in-person classes in centers RS, SC and PR, the course trains new Talian disseminators.
Practical classes encourage the use of the language in cultural and recreational activities.
