National Geographic celebrates the wonders of Milan and Lombardy

The new National Geographic guide pays homage to Lombardy by including 11 must-see sites.

Produced in more than 30 languages, the prestigious guide National Geographic about the wonders of UNESCO highlights in the April edition the wonders of Milan and Lombardy.

In total, they are 11 places that appeared in the guide published by the iconic magazine

“Home to 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, more than any other region in Italy, Lombardy is an ideal trip packed with history, architecture and intrigue,” reads the opening of the main article.

Da Vinci's Last Supper

Among the UNESCO wonders highlighted by National Geographic is the Last Supper, one of the masterpieces of the Renaissance. Leonardo Da Vinci and kept in the Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
