The French actress died this Tuesday (18), at the age of 92. Anouk Aimée, star of “The Sweet Life” (1960), masterpiece by Italian director Federico Fellini.
The death was announced by the artist's daughter, Manuela Papatakis, in a message on Instagram.
“With my daughter, Galahad, and my granddaughter, Mila, we are immensely sad to announce the departure of my mother, Anouk Aimée. I was by her side when, this morning, she passed away at her home in Paris,” she said.
Born in Paris on April 27, 1932, as Nicole Dreyfus, the actress was quite popular in France and Italy and starred in films by Federico Fellini, Claude Lelouch, Jacques Demy, Sydney Lumet, George Cukor, Julien Duvivier and other great filmmakers.
With Fellini, he also worked on “8½” (1963), while the peak of his career in France was “One Man, One Woman” (1966), by Lelouch, a work that earned him an Oscar nomination.
Aimée was also awarded best actress at the Cannes Festival in 1980 for “Leap into the Void”, by the Italian Marco Bellocchio. (HANDLE)
