Recording in Venice is suspended due to Covid cases in the production team
The recording of the new film in the franchise “Mission Impossible 7“, with Tom Cruise, were suspended this Friday, in Veneza, in Italy. At least 6 cases have already been confirmed in the team.
The production dismantled the set that had been created close to the Campo San Giacomo dell'Orio, and there is no information on when filming will resume.
O jornal La Repubblica says that around 150 Italian extras have been sent home until a decision is made to resume.
Cruise arrived in Venice on Monday (19) and won the sympathy of local residents as he was seen strolling around and meeting fans.
Onlookers even gathered near one of the recording points, where a scene was recorded in which Ethan Hunt jumps from a yacht full of agents chasing him.
Still according to the Italian newspaper, 19 Americans arrived in Rome between Monday and Tuesday (20).
It is speculated that the results of a second round of tests are being awaited to confirm or not the contamination of other team members.
For now, the chase scenes are suspended, until Sunday. If the positives continue to rise, future filming will also be in doubt.
In February, Tom Cruise was forced to stop filming due to the pandemic, just before the lockdown.
