The best price comparison sites in Italy

From gas and electricity prices to bank fees, the cost of living in Italy has soared over the past year, with average inflation in 2022 of 8,1% – the highest rate since 1985.

Many families are feeling the pinch: a search recent association OtherConsumption found that more than one in three people use their personal savings to pay for daily expenses.

At a time when every euro counts, we have put together a list of 8 best price comparison sites in Italy to help you get the best deals possible.

Check the list:

Kelkoo

Founded in 2000, Kelkoo is one of, if not the most trusted price comparison website in Italy.

The portal features millions of products from hundreds of stores, but you will have no problem finding exactly what you are looking for thanks to the various filters and categories incorporated into its search engine.

Once you find the right item, simply click 'Confront Prezzi' (compare prices) and see which store has the best offer available.

If one of the offers suits you, the Kelkoo will redirect you to the relevant online store where you can complete your purchase.

Items from some of the world's biggest brands (Apple, Sony, Nike, The North Face and many more) can be found on Kelkoo, but if you're more interested in the environment than branded products, you can rate eco-friendly items in your new section Kelkoo Green.

Find prices

For a site whose name literally means 'find prices', the Find prices lives up to expectations.

The portal is extremely intuitive and easy to use and, like its competitor Kelkoo, features millions of consumer products, from electronics to jewelry, DIY and gardening tools.

Unlike Kelkoo, however, TrovaPrezzi has a large sales and discounts section, where users can sort through offers from brands like Adidas, Nike, Decathlon, and Sephora.

TrovaPrezzi is also available as a mobile app for iOS and Android devices.

idealo

Just like Kelkoo and TrovaPrezzi, the idealo is an online portal that allows users to compare prices on millions of consumer items.

Idealo isn't as well designed and organized as its competitors, which means finding the right category or the right product isn't always as easy.

But Idealo makes up for this with 'Price trend' (price trend), which is available for most of your featured items.

The site shows price fluctuations as a line chart and gives users the option to be notified when the price drops to a certain amount.

Idealo is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android devices.

PromoHere

Although not exactly a price comparison site, the PromoHere is still worth highlighting, as it allows users to browse discount leaflets from the main physical stores in their area.

All you need to do is enter your area code (CAP, the zip code in Italy) or city in the top right box and then search for an item directly or sort the featured items by the available categories.

When you open a flyer, you will also receive the opening hours and location of the store in question.

Various other sites (e.g. Dove e Easy Flyer) offer similar services, but PromoQui is currently the most reliable.

Prezzo.it

This website specializes in price comparisons for electronics, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, televisions, among others. THE Prezzo.it offers detailed information about products and user reviews.

Ciao.it

This site helps you compare prices in different categories, such as electronics, fashion, home and garden, beauty and health, among others. THE Ciao.it also offers product reviews, buying guides, and discussion forums to help users make the best purchasing decision.

SOStariffe

Energy prices in Italy may not be as high now as they were last year, but gas and electricity bills still put a huge strain on residents' finances.

O SOStariffe allows you to find the most convenient energy plan for your home and save two zeros every year.

All you need to do is answer a series of questions about your home, your appliances and your current gas and electricity bills.

The site will show you several different energy plans and their respective providers. If you think one of the deals offered might be right for you, ask for a phone consultation or sign up for the plan right away.

But SOStariffe isn't just about energy plans, as it offers price comparison options for a range of other services, including phone and internet packages, bank accounts, mortgages and insurance plans.

Petrol prices

While it may not have the most creative names, Petrol Prices (Gasoline Prices) is a very useful tool if you use your car regularly.

The site allows you to quickly locate the cheapest gas station in your area and get the best deal available.

All you need to do is select the type of fuel your vehicle runs on and enter your location. The website will do the rest.

O Petrol Prices is also available as a mobile app.
