The player Italian-Brazilian Jorginho, one of the Azzurri's greats, stated during a press conference that he likes to sing the Italian national anthem.   

Born in the city of Imbituba, in Santa Catarina, the midfielder was revealed by Greece Verona and became a naturalized Italian in 2012.

However, he gained his first opportunity in the national team only four years later.   

“Every time I sing the national anthem, many thoughts arrive and I review the entire journey I've taken, which is why I enjoy this moment so much,” declared Jorginho at a press conference in Coverciano. 

Jorginho currently plays for Chelsea, from England, after an excellent spell at Napoli. THE Italian-Brazilian He is one of the main players in Italy's midfield, alongside Nicolò Barella and Marco Verratti.   

“Representing Italy is something very good that I feel inside, in addition to singing the anthem with my teammates”, recalled the athlete.

In addition to Jorginho, the Italian team has two other players born in Brazil, Rafael Tolói and Emerson Palmieri.

The trio gained the trust of coach Roberto Mancini and has been competing in the European Championship.   

This Tuesday (6), Italy and Spain will face each other at 16pm (Brasília time), at Wembley, in the semi-final of the Euro 2020. The match will be broadcast live on TV Globo, on open TV, and SporTV, on closed TV.
