Between August 29th and September 1st, Joinville, in Santa Catarina, will host the 15th VinVeneto, an event dedicated to celebrating Italian culture and cuisine.
O Edmundo Doubrawa Expocenter will be the main setting for this festival, which will have a gastronomic focus. 30 typical Italian dishes will be offered, such as pasta, pizza and polenta-based dishes. This year, visitors will have the opportunity to try the innovative “x-polenta”, a version of the traditional x-salad with polenta instead of bread.
In addition to the culinary delights, the VinVeneto will feature a wide selection of wines, including Brazilian and Italian labels, as well as craft beers from local producers.
The event's cultural program also promises to attract and delight the public. The event will feature typical dance performances and musical shows, with emphasis on performances by Dalponte Family and the Banda Roba da Ciodi.
One of the most anticipated moments is the group's parade Venice Carnival, from Nova Veneza, which will take place on Saturday and will bring to Joinville the charm and tradition of the famous Venice Carnival.
It is worth remembering that around 25% of the population of Joinville is descended from Italian immigrants, according to estimates, making the celebration even more significant for the local community.
