Kilimangiaro program, which showcases tourist destinations around the world, is watched by around four million people weekly in Italy
The cities of Joinville and São Francisco do Sul were featured in an Italian TV program, which is usually seen by four million viewers. The culture, history and natural beauty of the two cities in Santa Catarina were highlighted in the Kilimangiaro program, on the television channel Rai 3 – Radiotelevisione Italiana. The influence of Italian colonization, Portuguese and other European countries motivated the report.
The material was produced by Italian journalist Ivo Semeraro, who visited the region last year. In the video, he exalts Joinville's title as 'City of Dance' and recalls that the city hosts the Bolshoi Theater School in Brazil, the only extension of the Bolshoi Ballet outside of Russia.
The beauty of the rural properties, on Estrada Bonita and Estrada da Ilha, were also highlighted.
São Francisco do Sul, considered the third oldest city in Brazil, was highlighted for its historical importance in the formation of the State of Santa Catarina. The strong presence of Portuguese colonization was shown in the report that covered the city's Historic Center.
