Research based on heartbeats points to Italian and Portuguese as the most seductive languages in the world.
The two most seductive languages in the world are the result of a research carried out by Preply, a platform for language learning.
It is true that the experiment involved a very limited number of people, just ten, but it is still sugar for the self-esteem of Italians and Portuguese speakers.
Participants were equipped with a heart rate monitor, which measured pulse rates during love proposals in different languages.
Participants were encouraged to listen to some sentences in thirteen different languages (excluding English), spoken by a female voice and a male voice.
The heart rate, which at rest is around 65 beats per minute, reaches 80 beats per minute when the art of seduction is made in Italy.
With Portuguese language they are from 78 beats per minute; and even 77 with the French, in average.
The language Russian and Greek complete the top five. In the middle group are Koreans, Spaniards, Hindus, Poles and Chinese.
Among the least attractive languages are Japanese, German and Dutch. The reason, according to the study, is given by the large number of consonants that make the less musical sound and captivating.
