Italian retiree Luciano Gulmini, from 100 years old, had his driver's license renewed until 2026 after passing the psychotechnical exam carried out in Ravenna, in Emilia Romagna and Lombardy, northern Italy.

 Gulmini, who celebrated his 100th birthday on August 23, was delighted with the renewal. After all, since the 1960s, when he bought his first car, he and his wife, 96, have never stopped traveling.

“We always liked to travel, to meet people. We always travel at least one month a year,” said the centenarian, who, in his Lancia Ypsilon purchased 30 years ago, will take your partner to the beach at Lido Adriano, near Ravenna.

Luciano, as reported to the newspaper Il Resto del Carlino, is an experienced driver. He obtained his first license 75 years ago to drive a Lambretta, with which he and his wife made trips that crossed Italian borders.

In the early 1960s, they bought their first car, a Fiat 500 for sale , who accompanied them on several adventures, many of them camping. “We traveled mainly to the former Yugoslavia, during the time of President Tito. We visited places like Split, Dubrovnik, Mostar and Sarajevo for many years, as well as several small villages,” said Luciano.
