Italianismo is the first news portal aimed at the Italian-Brazilian public to be part of... Google News . Since February, it has been among the main news sites in the world in the news search tool.
“We are the only news website in the segment for the Italian community in Brazil that appears in Google News results”, explained businessman Reginaldo Maia, creator of Italianismo.
Appearing on Google News works like a “quality seal”, due to the criteria that Google takes into account to accept the membership request, the main thing being to have original and quality content.
“These are achievements that encourage us to continue working to bring more and more news and quality to the readers of our portal”, says Maia.
In the first months of the year, the portal has reached an average of 300 thousand unique visitors and more than 700 thousand pages visited monthly. This performance consolidated the portal as the main source of news for Brazilian readers interested in news related to Italy.
“This is the result of investment in infrastructure, mainly in CDN and cloud hosting. The website now loads pages faster, concludes Maia.
The CDN (Content Delivery Network) accumulators is a Content Distribution Network, that is, a group of servers in various parts of the world that allow internet content to be easily available, faster and more securely.
By investing in a CDN solution, Italianismo reduced data transfer time (called latency in technical language). Thus, the delivery of information became faster, favoring the user's permanence in the website and counting “points” in the Google ranking.
