Italy has already vaccinated 247 thousand people; 54,1% of doses delivered

Italy vaccinated 259.481 people, according to data updated this Wednesday morning (6).   

The number of applications today is equivalent to 54,1% of 479.700 doses of vaccine developed by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer in partnership with the German laboratory BioNTech delivered to Italy.   

Yesterday, the country immunized around 70 thousand people against the new coronavirus Sars-CoV-2.

To date, 157.748 women and 101.733 men have been vaccinated since the start of the immunization campaign.

The region with the highest percentage of doses applied is Lazio with 77,9%, followed by Tuscany (75,1%) and Veneto (73,8%).

At the bottom of the ranking are Lombardy (21,4%), Calabria (21,1%) and Sardinia (17,2%).
