The Consul General of Italy in Porto Alegre, Valerio Caruso, signed the contract for the purchase of the new headquarters of the Italian Consulate General in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul this Wednesday. "It is the first time in over 100 years that the Italian government has acquired its own property in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul," he celebrated.
The new space, located in Duo Concept Condominium, located at Avenida Loureiro da Silva, 1960, will have approximately 1.500 square meters distributed over three floors. The structure promises more comfort and agility in serving the Italian-Gaucho community.

A New place It will have a notary's office on the lower floor and more than 500 parking spaces. The goal is to offer a modern and functional environment to better meet consular demands.

Renovations to the property will begin in June and the transfer to the new headquarters is expected to take place until the end of 2025. The purchase price was not disclosed.
