ITA Airways, an airline that which succeeded Alitalia, received authorization to make regular flights to Brazil. THE permission from ANAC was published in the Official Gazette on December 15th.
Once authorized, the company can request regular flights to Brazil. For now, the company has only been carrying out non-scheduled flights dedicated to transporting cargo between Brazil and Italy, using aircraft painted in the same color as Alitalia.
In your authorization request to ANAC, according to the website aeroin, ITA highlighted that it is an entirely new company, incorporated under full ownership and control of the Italian government following the discontinuation of Alitalia.
However, the company emphasizes that ITA Airways has no relationship with Alitalia and that the start of its operations in Brazil is not a replacement for its predecessor, but rather a request from a completely new company.

The airline has not yet released a date for the start of regular flights to Brazil, however, shortly before starting operations, executives signaled their intention to start flights to São Paulo in 2022, with Rio de Janeiro to follow.
Being the Brazil is one of the main markets for flights to Italy, it is only a matter of time before flights begin.
Meanwhile, in Rome, the executives of the state-owned airline remain steadfast in seeking a strong partnership so that ITA can compete on an equal footing with the major players in the global airline market.
