The proposal to eliminate the A fee of 250 euros is charged for Italian citizenship applications for minor children born abroad. It came from the Democratic Party (PD). The information was confirmed this Saturday (20) by deputy Fabio Porta, after repercussions about the authorship of the amendment.
According to the parliamentarian, the text containing the exemption provision was presented by Senator Francesco Giacobbe, a member of the PD party, during the processing of the 2026 Budget Law in the Senate.
