The Italian Institute of Culture (IIC) in São Paulo is offering an online course for Brazilian students who want to learn more about sculpture in Italy.

Classes will be taught by professors Luciano Migliaccio and Simone Floridia between April 14th and June 9th.

Called “Passione per la materia. Un percorso nella scultura italiana”, the course will address Etruscan sculpture and will cover the most famous names in the practice, such as Michelangelo, Donatello and Leonardo.

Arnaldo Pomodoro, Arturo Martini, Lucio Fontana, Giacomo Manzù, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Jago, Antonio Canova, Marino Marini, Umberto Boccioni, Medardo Rosso and Mimmo Paladino will also be studied.

The event is free, but has a limited number of places. The meetings will be broadcast in seven classes at 16pm via the Zoom app.

Registration can be made until April 12th, at 10 am, on the IIC São Paulo website (see here).
