A man died this Tuesday (8) in Italy after being sucked into the turbine of an airplane at the Orio al Serio airport, in Bergamo, Lombardy region.
According to local authorities, the man was neither an employee nor a passenger. He allegedly invaded the runway with the intention of killing himself.
The incident occurred in a Airbus A319 from the Spanish company Volotea, which was leaving for Asturias, Spain. Boarding had already been completed and the aircraft was preparing for takeoff.
