The governor Romeo Zema was one of the honorees, this Wednesday (27/11), with the Italia Affari Medal, an honor granted to Italian and Brazilian personalities, both from the public and private sectors, who have played a relevant role in the economic development of the state.
He, who has Italian citizenship recognized, received the medal from the hands of the president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Minas Gerais, Valentino Rizzioli, and the Italian consul in Belo Horizonte, Nicoletta Gomiero, and highlighted the work that the Government of Minas has played a role in establishing good business relations with international partners.
The medal has been awarded since 2005 by the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Minas Gerais, a non-profit organization founded in 1995 and linked to the Italian government, whose objective is to promote relationships and business between Minas Gerais and Italy.
“Governor Romeu Zema is an example of strategic vision for the modernization of the state. Under his guidance and leadership, over the last two years, Minas Gerais’ trade relations, especially with Italy, have been even stronger, in an innovative dynamic between the public and private sectors,” he noted.
