After stealing all the spotlight at Rio's Carnival (with a fee of R$10 million), Gisele Bündchen appeared “unrecognizable” on the cover of the March issue of Vogue Italia.
At 42 years old, the übermodel was photographed by Brazilian Rafael Pavarotti in a red dress Valentino, styled by Ibrahim Kamara.
“Our cover story is a chromatic journey through the thousand transformations of a woman who, normally, is portrayed natural”, says the text published on social media to announce the edition.
Posing for the magazine with a red wig and thin eyebrows, the model who has collected 142 Vogue covers around the world spoke about her career in front of the cameras and the moments (off camera) that made her far beyond a pretty cliché.
Gisele also said that she deeply believes in the power of the mind-body connection and “religiously” wakes up at 5 am to meditate. Furthermore, one of her daily priorities is movement, be it a horse ride or a simple walk.
“We started working with her in the early 2000s, she perfectly embodied our creative vision. Gisele is unique, extraordinarily beautiful and spontaneous, she has an explosive character; Her smile has a joy, her energy is contagious. She was always a great professional: on set she was hilarious, seeing her backstage was a joy,” designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana told the magazine.
