Brazil will have a representative in World Pizza Championship, which takes place from April 5th to 7th, in Parma, Italy.
The current Brazilian pizza champion, Igor Cândido, resident of Canela/RS, will participate in the 29th edition of the important international event for pizza professionals.
It is the second time that Cândido will compete in Italy. In 2019, he finished among the 70 best placed in a competition with more than 1.500 participants, being the best placed brazilian.
“This year we are going to the event with more maturity, greater knowledge and seeking to achieve the same feat as the last edition. In addition to the championship adding knowledge, it is important to bring news, new techniques and trends to Brazil”, said Cândido, to Diary of Canoes.

The World Cup in Italy is segmented into categories such as Neapolitan pizzas, classics, in pala, teglia, among others. Each category brings together thousands of entries from more than 40 countries.
Igor will present an original pizza in the competition using his techniques and experiences, acquired in recent years of experience. “The name will be D'Bento, in honor of my son. The flavor, details and ingredients will only be announced after the competition”, says the pizza maker.
